New Pachysandra Beds

The black cover and burlap are used to block the sun when the pachysandra cutting are starting to grow new roots. The wooden shade blocks 50% of the direct sun light and black cover or burlap block even more sun light when the cutting are first planted. In late Oct. the covers are taken off after the leaves have falling. They help to keep the leaves from falling in the beds,which could damage new cutting.
